  1. Lavers Hill P-12 College Council responds to Climate Change
  2. We are now set for the Public Forum on the 17th October 2008. Thanks to our Forum Door Prize Benefactors:
    • ATA – (Alternative Technology Association). Jacinta Cleary, Editor of ReNew Magazine has donated a year’s subscription to ReNew as well as a heap of back issues for participants.
    • Sustainability Victoria. Michael Williamson, has donated a copy of the Victorian Wind Atlas.
    • Climate Emergency Network (CEN). David Spratt, has donated a copy of Climate Code Red – the case for emergency action.

  • 18th October: ACF’s GreenHome program will be working in the Corangamite area in the next
    9 months – starting off with workshops in Torquay 18th October that aim to help residents make eco-friendly lifestyle choices. Other programs for the future include workshops in Colac, Geelong and a Champions program in Anglesea. Contact Michele Matthews GreenHome Project Officer

  • 17th -19th October – Melbourne Exhibition Centre – Save Water Save Energy Expo
  • 22nd October – Proposed date for Human Sign – letter from Dean Bridgfoot
  • 24th October – Friday: Ist of a series of Workshops on “Making the Transition” will be held on Friday nights at Marrar Woorn following the “Community Power”. These workshops will look towards ways that self, kin and community can create local solutions to make the transition to a society of lower carbon emissions. They will comprise of creative and practical activities, film screenings, information and presentations and will lead towards an exhibition at Colac Otway Performing Arts Centre in early next year. Expressions of interest from local artists and community members are invited to be part of these workshops and exhibitions exploring local solutions to peak oil and climate change issues. Thousands of Australians will walk together with their families, their workmates and their communities for renewable energy and a safe climate future for our children.
